Sorry guys, but don't you think HP numbers are overrated? How many times have you seen a bike make impressive numbers on a dyno but put up lousy numbers at the track? I've seen some bikes have so-so numbers on a dyno, yet produce astounding numers at the track. The dyno should be used as a tool to guage changes made, not as a tell all. Besides, many who are much more knowledgable than myself have stated that the additional fuel needed for ram air at speed will kill HP numbers on a static dyno. Makes sense to me. |

I agree totally, with the HP misconception, many people believe in HP as if it is the savior to all their track problems, I'm new to the track, been racing for bout a year, I ran 6.3 on my 152hp 2002 Busa with a regular Hindle system in the 1/8, I have a buddy that's pushing 176HP and is only running 6.7's. All that HP doesn't matter if you cant put it to the track.

Your exactly right! Just like Brock has maps that will make 5 more h.p. but run 2 tenths slower in the quarter mile- cspeed-So what did you pick up from Gen 2 to Gen 3? looks like 2 tenths? (but it just looks like better 60 foot, no mph difference?) |
