What kinda of times should I expect from an stock 03 in the 1/4. I how Shine ran low 9.90's on both a 12 and a Busa with it just lowered a 1 tooth down.

I think a relatively light person with some practice can run high 9s all day on a stock busa.....

we'll find out what I can run this next spring...will be my first time.

I would think so cuz I weigh 180 and I'm thinking I have enough bike experience to get into the 9's.  I have never drag raced but I have alot of standing starts from riding motocross since I've been 7.

boy if you were on another forum whose name i wont say you would be reading all nite. it depends on the skill of the rider and the set up of the bike. i think shine went 9.40s not .30s i have to double check that. in stock form i have seen very few breakout of the 10s. believe it or not in stock form with an average rider its not uncommon to see busa's run 10.20s to high 10.80s. my best on the stock bike just taking it to the track and riding it like it was on the showroom was a 9.78 at 143mph. after the 5th pass the  chain went and the clutches were toast after the fourth i believe. have to slip it real good at stock heigth and be careful not to let it hit to hard because the clutch system likes to buck back and forth in stock form. strap and lowered 9s all day with average rider. sprocket, brock set up with the hindle i think its impossible not to run a nine no matter how bad you leave lol. once you get some experience and learn the bike 9.50s should be in your grasp. just my two cents and what i have seen. my best has been a 9.31 at 148mph. ant thats with a 1.50 60ft. on a stock arm.
1320 IS HOW I LIVE AND I HAVE BEEN HERE FOR QUITE SOME YEARS. SO PULL UP BESIDE ME AND WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGES I WILL SHOW YOU HOW IVE SURVIVED

Guys, we tell everyone the same thing:

If you purchase our  COMPLETE StreetSmart Package and do EVERYTHING *** EXACTLY***  the way we say in our StreetSmart Owners Group......YOUR BUSA can run 9.30's at 148-150 MPH, foot shifting, stock wheelbase on a good track (at a reasonable altitude...we are at 1000ft above sea level) with a  talented 150-170 rider.

We have NO IDEA if you can run that fast!

This is the information age; If we made claims like this and they weren't valid....we would be crucified on the internet.

I ran a 9.27 at 149 at Rockingham in the fall on my Travel Channel Busa..close to sea level with good air...It made 170 RWHP on Nutec the day before we left. (It still only has 400 miles on it... which hurts the power.)

We have VERY TALENTED, FLY WEIGHT riders at killer tracks running faster than this! (I'd tell you that teens, with an air shifter, has happened on multiple occasions and 20's are common place...but you probably wouldn't believe me!)

Our time tickets we post here and in the How to Slam and Prep articles are REAL.

If you say it, that is what I will believe. You are the main reason I am trying to get Busa right now! I will be in the Houston area racing and weight is 180. Thanks

We have a 190 lb (in his shorts  @205 suited to race) **VERY Talented**rider ( 1.50 60 fts, high 3.90's in the 330, and 6.11-6.14/119 in the 1/8- with an air shifter, set up exactly as I stated above)  who runs mid-high 9.40's at around 144-145 mph.

It really isn't the additional weight which slows him down, it's his body structure. He has wide shoulders which can't get out of the wind sufficiently.

This slows him down much more than the additional weight....he gets those shoulders over the bars and TEARS OUT! He has run 1.49 60's stock wheelbase on several occasions. Very few small guys could say that (before we came out with the brick!) because the bike would lift hard in the top of first.

I have ridden his bike, run the same numbers as him on the front half and picked up a nearly a tenth from the 1/8 to the quarter. He runs with minimal fuel so we topped off the tank when I rode it. We added about 25 lbs, so it was a pretty fair comparison.

People under estimate the importance of aerodynamics on today's late model bikes. At these increased speeds it is far more important than even 5 years ago.

I saw a Busa rider cross the finish line with his loose fitting leathers flapping and making noise....he complained that his bike wouldn't MPH up top (he tried to blame our stuff??!). I told him that his leathers were slowing him down....naturally, he looked at me like I had been dropped on my head as a child!

I loaned him a better fitting jacket and asked him to try again (with a little side $$$ bet thrown in for sport...of course!)

He picked up 1.5 MPH in the 1/8 and nearly 3 MPH in the quarter!

Ha....I got paid...he went faster AND quit questioning our products...it was a very good evening at the track!

Thought you might like to know,

Brock
