I have a 2006 Suzuki Hayabusa I currently have a full Alien Head system. I am thinking about purchasing a Sidewinder system (20 inch long) however my bike has a 905 Racing Stunt Armor. I would like to know if I would have to ditch the Armor or if the side winder system would work with the Stunt Armor installed.
this is what the armor looks like : some actual Pics of my bike: http://s1160.photobucket.com/albums/q496/Hayabusa133/?action=view¤t=DSC01843.jpg http://s1160.photobucket.com/albums/q496/Hayabusa133/?action=view¤t=DSC01844.jpg http://s1160.photobucket.com/albums/q496/Hayabusa133/?action=view¤t=DSC01828.jpg http://s1160.photobucket.com/albums/q496/Hayabusa133/?action=view¤t=DSC01826.jpg http://s1160.photobucket.com/albums/q496/Hayabusa133/?action=view¤t=DSC01825.jpg http://s1160.photobucket.com/albums/q496/Hayabusa133/?action=view¤t=100_2052.jpg |

I would also like to know what horsepower gains I'd see from removing an Alien Head system and installing a sidewinder system...
Thanks Mark R.

Yes, you would have to get rid of it to run the sidewinder. I also just want to make sure that you know that if you switch to the sidewinder that you will lose some right hand cornering clearance. As far as hp goes on a stock motor they are both very close, the advantage of the sidewinder is that it can be used in conjuction with a low profile oil pan so you can get the bike lower to the ground resulting in better times at the drag strip.

Hey Steve,
I'm Looking at these two systems: Show-polished finish full sidewinder system : $1,165.00 Black ceramic coated finish full sidewinder system : $1,395.00 Why is there a difference in price of these two exhaust systems? Is the Black Ceramic coated finish better than the show-polished finish? If yes. What makes it a better system? Is it a difference in sound? Does the Black Ceramic coated finish sound better? Does the Black Ceramic Coated Finish system perform better than the Show Polished finish system in terms of Horsepower Gains? Would the Black Ceramic Coating cause the Black ceramic coated finish full sidewinder system to Dissipate Heat better than the Show-polished finish full sidewinder system thereby causing it to perform better? Thanks Mark R. |

Mark, there is a difference in price because the black ceramic coating is an additional process done to the pipe.
As far as performance goes there isn't really an advantage either way, but the ceramic coating is better as far as heat goes, up to a 30% under fairing heat reduction.
Sound is exactly the same between the two.
