We are working with RG to create new products for the 2011 ZX-10R, so far the results are favorable... the real question is: will it hang with the BMW S1000RR?

What do you think?

Yes.

But Rickey's 10 went high eights with 20 lbs. of weight added to the front end... we never tried that because we didn't feel most street riders would do such a thing. RG's 10 ran low 9's without the weight.

Note: in the video our bike DID have SuperSport engine mods (milled head and degreed cams)... BUT, it only had 100 miles so it actually had the exact same horsepower as our stock bike (203 RWHP before the run). It made 208 at WyoTech this spring after being run a season.

Our BMW as well as one from a dealership in Kansas (Engle Motors) ran over 161 MPH in the quarter with no ballast - Rickey would know best but I don't believe his ZX-10's have broken 160 MPH at all.... ballast or not, long or short.

We broke 200 MPH in a mile --the 10's were at 1.5 miles and ran over 200 (203 stock). We haven't had them in equal conditions.

Richard Gadson ran 8.57@160 MPH at the MFG Cup Finals in Valdosta, GA last weekend on the extended wheelbase 2011 ZX-10R (61" wheelbase) using our Alien Head slip-on exhaust and VP MR12 race fuel.

I believe that the new ZX-10R is almost identical in performance to the BMW - only about 3-4 HP behind and is really limited the most by an extremely tall first gear ratio at the drag strip. An aftermarket first gear is now available from Robinson Industries.

When/If are you going to set your zx10 up w/BST, 64inch WB, quick-shifter and lowered to the same height as the BMW which Ryan ran the 8:42? Also will it have a SS package (milling/degreed cams)? I believe that Kawi has produced a performance package that will surpass all production bike in Apple to Apples comparison.
