Record-Setting Weekend for Brock's Performance Equipped Riders
Thursday, October 09, 2014

This past weekend at the MIROCK Battle Royale, Bud Yoder shocked the racing world by becoming the quickest Pro Street bike ever with an astounding 6.838 at 205.22mph. The record became official when he backed it up with a 6.848 at 207.91mph. The Pro Street class is considered the world’s quickest street bike class and entries must be run in 'street legal' trim, requiring them to have headlights, taillights, and DOT street tires. The entire Yoder Racing team has been making huge strides all year with their new bike. Chosen by top racing teams worldwide, this record was established using BST carbon fiber wheels equipped with Worldwide Bearings ceramic wheel bearings - a combination that is also DOT approved for street use and available for most 600cc and up sportbikes.

Also impressive was the debut of the HTP Racing GSX-R1000 nitrous assisted Pro Street machine, which ran 7.050 at 190.35 mph, becoming the world's quickest nitrous 1000 in the process. But, what is completely mind-boggling is the fact that this NO BAR bike shot to the sixty-foot timer in just 1.13 seconds and to the three hundred and thirty-foot mark in 3.002 seconds. Lavar Delee piloted the HTP missile, equipped with a set of BST wheels and patented Brock's Performance TiWinder to complete this lightweight package. Justin Doucet also dipped deep into the sixes with a 6.868 pass at 207.88mph, on David Broyles' BST shod turbo Hayabusa.

Although not racing for a $10,000 purse, as in the Pro Street class, the riders in Real Street were determined not to be outshined on a performance level. Multiple riders dipped into the 7.7s this past weekend in Real Street, but it was long time drag racing stalwart, Rickey Gadson, resetting the overall Real Street record to 7.703 at 190.30mph on his way to the class win. Rickey's record setting ZX-14R is equipped with Brock’s Performance clutch mod.

Utilizing a BST carbon fiber front wheel on his 1000+hp Top Fuel motorcycle, Dave Vantine ran a career best of 5.891 at 237.09mph through the ¼ mile. Vantine and Larry “Spiderman” McBride match raced several times throughout the event, and Vantine walked away as the overall victor for the weekend.

Brock’s Performance would like to congratulate the sportsman racers who came out in masses to try to earn a MIROCK race win. With over 800 entries for the weekend, it was quite the task to find the winners circle in any class. Clay Davies and Brandon Bachmeier won Crazy 8’s and the 5.60 Index classes utilizing Brock’s Performance exhaust systems, and we also had 4 other riders made it to a final using Brock’s exhausts. Thank you to all of our racers and customers who proudly race with our products. A special thanks to Jason Miller and staff, whose fantastic track prep helped make these records possible.
